The 48th Annual Delaware County Halloween Parade is set for 2p.m., Saturday (Oct. 27) on State St. in Media. Delco?s own Cecily Tynan, ABC-TV6 meteorologist will lead the celebration.
High school and other bands from all over the county will participate, along with marching groups and drill teams, floats, clowns, historical cars, fire companies, and thousands of costumed marchers. They'll all participate in what has become an exciting, annual tradition for area families.
The parade will form at Barrall Field at the east end of State St. and proceed west to Orange St., north to Front St, and back to the school field.
Area school bands and non-profit groups are welcome to join in the fun. Rain date for the parade is 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28.
The parade is sponsored annually by Bryn Mawr Trust and Crozer Keystone?s Media Medical Plaza and coordinated by Town Talk Newspapers.
For more information or to register a band or large group to march, call Town Talk at 610-583-4432, ext. 102. (Individual marchers need not register; just be on the corner of State and Edgmont before 2p.m.)
