Upgrading from windows 7 to 8 and keeping copy protected recordings?

It didn't work for me. Everything but copy protected stuff worked. It even kept the series settings and things like that.

In my experience so far I didn't like the media center on windows 8. It performed worse and I ended up going back to Windows 7.
