It is in our differences that we grow. Of course there is no real stereotypical hard and fast division between the genders, in truth we are blends of each other. However, given men are typically disconnected from their emotional world as still there is a societal judgement around men showing their feelings, this tends to make them appear more structural and planning oriented. Yet much his hidden there. Women of course are seen as emotional, I?ve certainly met women who are not, but typically women are raised that it is okay to cry to feel and express feelings. The brain is wired for communication as women are typically the teachers of the next generation. They are socially aware and tend to be relationship oriented. So there are differences, there are also many similarities. I just love the diversity. How amazing was nature to create us.
Viva la difference
Man is wired for structure,
Female is wired for content.
Why is man wired for structure?
His role is physical order,
He provides sustenance from the environment,
He is mapping the natural topography,
For he must find and locate,
He must return to places offering the highest yield,
For he thinks he must provide for the basic survival of the tribe,
He is seeking out perimeters that are logical,
He must see the wood in the trees,
For he is exploring with vision,
He must set limits to distance,
For distance, time and vision,
Is the domain of man.
Why is woman wired for content?
She is the teacher of the next generation,
She is the creator of social order,
Her focus is developmental psychology,
Her orientation is content mapping,
For she must understand the depth of the emotional landscape,
She must map the psychological terrain,
She must feel the limits to growth,
For the emotional social is the most basic survival instinct,
For communication must feel for this typography as it is not visible,
She is exploring with language,
For she sees both the trees and the leaves,
For these will give shelter,
And this is the domain of woman.
There is much reference to women,
They speak too much,
There is much reference to man,
He doesn?t speak enough,
Yet each live in different domains of reality.
In unity one sustains the other,
For if both can accept differences,
Then each can explore the deeper terrain
Of themselves,
And this is the purpose of their birth,
For the species must survive and evolve.
The social-emotional-spatial world must find balance,
The inner and outer environments become balanced and sustainable,
This is why equality is necessary for survival of the next generation,
We cannot wait 400 years for this truth.
If one sees inferior,
The other sees superior,
Then tensions arise,
For one will seek ascendancy in power,
Another lives quietly with injustice,
As resentment and resignation re-forms like the sand around the peal of love,
Unresolved disagreements cause friction,
Dis-chord plays out where harmony used to sing,
And each life is on a war footing,
The footprints first impressed become suppressed,
And love fades as the tears of despair wash the love into the sea of dis-content.
One is traveling alone,
Misunderstood and forgotten,
The relationship becomes the red centre,
As pain replaces the heart of happiness,
Imbalanced and secretly bitter,
For there is no greater sorrow,
Then the separation of lovers,
Who never knew how to truly celebrate loves bounty,
To truly enjoy the challenges and the gifts,
To truly see life sparkle in the others eyes,
For neither were listening with truth.
And this is the world we see today,
For at the heart of world peace,
Is the love of man and woman for each other,
To respect the differences with wonder,
To give space to each other to sing songs,
To never control each other but let go,
For sex is not security through marriage,
Money and status is not the focus of union,
Both assist to find the spice of truth as opposites attract,
And this is Viva La Difference!
